Hi I'm Elías,
I'm an electrical engineering student who enjoys building things that work in the real world - from embedded systems to power electronics.

I am an electrical engineer with a background in embedded systems, hardware design, and interdisciplinary engineering projects. My interest in technology started early through programming, first building games in Python and later expanding into electronics and hardware during my studies in Electrical Engineering at EPFL.

Alongside university, I worked on projects ranging from PCB design and embedded development with the EPFL Rocket Team to power electronics and motherboard design for EPFLoop, EPFL's Hyperloop team. I have also worked on applied engineering projects outside academia, including AI-based navigation systems and hardware development tools.

Outside engineering, I spend much of my time in the mountains. Endurance sports, trail running, mountaineering, climbing, and cycling have become an important part of my life. I have completed ultra trail races such as the Eiger Ultra Trail E51 and the Laugavegur Ultra Marathon, and I enjoy long-term challenges, whether that means preparing for bigger alpine objectives or planning multi-month bikepacking trips.

I am currently completing my military service in the Swiss Armed Forces, where I began as a rescue soldier before continuing through NCO and officer training. The experience has taught me a great deal about leadership, teamwork, and staying composed under pressure, especially in demanding and uncertain environments.

For me, engineering, endurance sports, and military service all revolve around the same idea: solving difficult problems in imperfect conditions. Whether designing electronics, moving through the mountains, or leading a team, I value reliability, preparation, and thoughtful decision-making.
